1. Research Design

            In the study, the researchers tend to find new discoveries to use as a support for it. Using historical design wouldn’t do much help since it was been already proven before by researchers. Besides, the data from the past events may not be the same as what researchers have gathered. So, the researchers will not be using historical research design because this type of research focuses on past events.

            The researchers will also not use experimental research design in the study because it doesn’t require further experiments. It requires different process in finding the fact that should support the study. This uses two or more different components that have to be manipulated.

             On the other hand, descriptive have a purpose to find new fact. These facts may increase the students’ knowledge and generalization. Descriptive design provides knowledge about the nature of objects and people and the researchers will be using questionnaires, test, or interviews.

            Descriptive survey is suitable for subjects or a topic that varies and is interested to different condition that is obtained. It gathers data regarding present events and uses facts and new truths.

            This kind of research design is what the research project need. The researchers would likely to know the effects of interest, family, peers and socio- economic status on the career choice of grade 10 students. Using a survey is a good way to gather information that will support the project.

            The researcher will use descriptive survey to gather the needed data for the study comprises questions that are related to the career choice of grade 10 students.
